Why this campaign exists — a 4-minute message

On August 1, we open our biggest campaign of the year: raise $21,600 by September 7 — with an aspirational stretch of $75,000 to reduce our waiting list and build meaningful mentoring capacity to fuel our next stage of growth — and close the gap between the students waiting for a mentor and the mentors and funding ready to change their year. Right now, more undergraduates want into The Sparks Mentorship Program than we’re able to serve — and this campaign is how we change that.

And it goes further than the dollars alone: our board is matching every gift dollar-for-dollar, up to $4,000 — so the earliest gifts count double. One more reason to be here when giving opens.

SetFire Foundation connects undergraduates with experienced professionals for personalized, one-on-one, 12-month mentorships at no cost — cultivating the growth, confidence, and skills for careers and lives of purpose.

Every student deserves someone in their corner. Few ever get one.

Undergraduates are navigating the leap from college to career — hard choices, real ambiguity, and often no one to think it through with. A mentor changes that: an experienced professional, one hour a month, for a full year.

Your gift is what puts that person in a student's corner. Not a brochure or a webinar — a relationship that shapes how they see their future. The program is running now; students are matched and meeting their mentors every month. Sponsorship is what opens the next seat.

Any amount counts, every dollar is doubled by the board match, up to $4,000, and a gift of $100 or more makes you a Founding Sponsor — the first 50 claim a named seat on the charter.
